In addition to repairing more than 70,000 meters of existing roads, they reported building more than 120 kilometers of new public and secondary highways. The municipality has also constructed 19 public buildings and put up more than 5,000 street lights throughout Kabul.

Barakzai further mentioned that the people had already received more than 1.5 billion afghani as compensation for more than a thousand properties that had been taken from them. For additional compensation, another half a billion Afghanis has been set aside, guaranteeing the Kabul Municipality’s continued financial stability.

Two million decorative plants and trees have been planted, over 520,000 tons of trash have been removed, and 205 tons of low-quality and expired goods have been disposed of, among other noteworthy achievements. A spokesman for the town stated that safeguarding public health and safety required this effort.

In addition, the chief of planning, policy, monitoring, and evaluation, Mohammad Qasim Afghan, declared that the plans for three new pedestrian bridges were complete. To ease traffic congestion, these will be built at the intersections of Barkhi, Deh Afghanan, and Minar-e-Nijat.

Even while problems like traffic jams and street vendors still exist in some places, the municipality’s efforts have improved the situation noticeably. There is less traffic congestion and street sellers have been removed from some crossroads.

The report from the Kabul Taliban Municipality, taken as a whole, shows a year of significant advancements and ongoing dedication to enhancing the city’s facilities and offerings.
